And here we are again, some would say another year older and wiser...we'd like to think another year more experienced in the baking of the perfect Anzac biscuit!!! Welcome to the 2022 Bake!

With two extra days of baking this year compared to last year, we are ready to bake and deliver our delicious golden biscuits far and wide.

We invite all the readers of our blog to join us again this year. As always, the funds raised will assist the continued operation of our programmes and facilities.

2022 is no different to any previous year, we would not be able to successfully hold an Anzac Bake without our many supporters - from the businesses and organisations selling the biscuits for us, suppliers, volunteers; and of course all our loyal customers who return year after year to buy our biscuits (we hope you are enjoying some as you check out our blog!) - a big thank you to all of you.

If you would like a basket of biscuits for your business to sell, please email us at
auroradisability@auroradisability.org.au or call us on 6273 0916.

A huge thank you to all our bakers, helpers, supporters and customers, we couldn't do it without you.

The moment the ovens are turned off!!!

Amanda and Emma get just a
few more bags dated for today.

While Pam and Virginia make sure there's some ready
for when we do our regular weekly batch next term.
Or for a few late orders!

Wayne and Rony measuring out some more ribbon.

Running low! David and Shane are onto it to.

While Gary gets a few more inserts into waiting bags.

Last batch going in! Bronte in the kitchen.

With Tammy who's just finished filling Bryce.

Dallas rolling the last few mixes in the kitchen.

With Therese and Anne.

All finished here say Jeremy and Peter!

Not quite for Mellany and Georgia, but getting close.

Last few in the oven for 2022,
here they come says Helen.

Naomi at the lifting table.

Along with Ollie.

Lift and pack...Steph and Tammy.

Look at these! Natalie busy packing the final biscuits.

And then...after baking this many biscuits,
guess what has to happen?
Yep, a cleanup of gigantic proportion...
Laurie working on cleaning the butter table
tools of the trade, that table has finished for this year.

Michael wiping down the table cloths ready for storage.

Dry mix is done too!

And Chris is busy in the kitchen washing trays.

Clean and dry and ready to put them away,
Mellany, Jeremy and Georgia marching to
the kitchen just one more time.

And last but not least, more tablecloths to clean,
Therese and Anne.

Stay tuned for the winner of our Wordfind competition to be announced soon!

As the tally climbs

Hello everyone, second last day and a busy one it was, but orders are flying out the door still...

Jo and Louise this morning got stuck straight into the butter.

With Luke on the other side.

Practice makes perfect, Jordan and Gary

Tammy cutting some more ready to thread gumnuts.

While Amanda and Wayne clean up some more gumnuts.

Busy busy in the dry mix corner, Chris and Veronica

Jennifer and Brenda are finishing them off with a flourish.

is collect all the rubbish...
Rony and Josh are doing that job today.

Louise has moved on to the butter table.
